I have a customer's 1987 240 DL and need to find the diagnostic box. It is not under the hood anywhere.

1989 was the first year for OBD on a 240 . If it did have OBD it would flash code boxes be near the strut towers. You will need to wing it old school, eyes, ears, nose, fingers and brains.

Thank you. That is exactly what I suspected. Holy cow! I might have to actually know something about LH Jetronic systems! Now I'm doomed!
