Parking light reminder beeper mod 2001 xc70

Just finished my parking light reminder beeper mod, im pretty happy with it...no more leaving the parkers on accidently and draining the battery.

I used the Narva 72560BL three pin beeper (ground and two positive pins). Ground is meant to be triggered by the door switch but on a P2 car this looked difficult, i cannot find any switches inside the lock module or any module pins gave me a ground when door open, so i used a relay connected to the footwell lights. The switch key was straight forward when i figured out the wiring diagram (pic) and the 3rd positive pins comes from the parking lights relay on the CEM.

The ignition switch wiring diagram is confusing at first. Pin S (pin 3 on connector ) is active until key is removed.

Not sure how this door lock switches work, its sealed and cannot be opened without damage.. i dont hear any clicking switches possibly magnetic contacts? and only two pins test for continuity (might need to be powered?)..if you ever need to open one up be careful as small springs and brackets can pop out.

The only negative is that it will beep when you activate the "puddle lights" until you put the key in the ignition
