I didn’t know the history of these labels, learned that here.
Stickers required post 1958
Mike Monroney was a Senator from OK who wrote legislation that required consumer clear stickers on new cars.
Also started the FAA.

For 1981 - 2011 cars you can build a window sticker at Monroney Labels for $8.00. You will need to know what options the car is equipped with.
