torque specs, and sequence, needed Topic is solved

Trying to finish up my 2001 S60 non-turbo.

I'm in need of the torque specs, and sequences, for the intake manifold, ETM, fuel rail, and the oil dipstick hold down bolt(s). (Is there also a way to get an accurate torque on the intake bolts with them being so hard to get to?

No sequences on these other than standard practice of getting it seated firmly before you come to spec

Not too tight either !

INTAKE MANIFOLD 19Nm

ETM and dipstick aren’t listed so I would use 25 Nm for an M8 bolt

Found it. 17 Nm for ETM

Fuel rail 6 Nm

Torque on all these is non-critical. Don’t let the bracket get pinched on the intake manifold near cylinder 5

In tight space with no room for torque wrench, here is the trick.
Find a torque wrench and place it on a wheel bolt for practice.

- One (1) finger placed with the mid-part of the finger (middle phalanx) at let's say 12" on the torque wrench,
max I can produce is 10 Nm. So at 6", all I can produce is 5 Nm before my finger gave way.

- Two (2) fingers placed with the mid-part of the finger (middle phalanx) at let's say 12" on the torque wrench,
max I can produce is 20 Nm. So at 6", all I can produce is 10 Nm before my fingers gave way.

Just play around with the torque wrench and know your strength at the ratchet level, then your finger(s) (1, 2, 3, or all 4)
will tell you the torque.

I never thought about trying something like that. It does make sense though, and I'll definitely give it a try.
