07 S40 2.4i: Car suddenly hot?

Post by theWIFES_S70 »

Hi everyone, took a short drive yesterday, a few miles to my folks' and back and when I got home, I felt a lot of heat coming from the car. I opened the hood and it felt like the car in Summer...

Is this natural? No check engine lights and nothing out of ordinary.

Could this be a heatshield out of wack? Will try to inspect over the weekend...

If you make enough heat to get things out of whack, you will get lots of warning.

Oil level ok?

COolant level ok?

Check coolant tank. My s40 melted on freeway this week. Zero warning. P1 cars have no low coolant light
