For the second time in a row, an FCP order has been dispatched via FedEx from Milford to my place in Delaware, and apparently gone on a Walkabout. This shipment, ordered on the 19th, has crossed the Maryland border twice, and is now in an Undetermined Location. While FCP Customer Service folks are polite, as usual, I seem to be getting a shrug on what to do next. I was just sent an Affidavit to fill out - complete with dire warnings about massive fines and/or imprisonment.
The nearest Volvo Agency is about an hour away, and involves a large body of water and a bridge toll, but I'm beginning to rethink my options.
Sure wish the poor old R ran a little better, then I wouldn't be quite as concerned about such things.

Still no joy, FedEx won't talk to me because I'm not the shipper, and all FCP seems willing to do is send another box down the same rabbit hole - after swearing out the aforementioned affidavit. Very disappointing.

I would take the second attempt to deliver. MOST of the time Fedex, UPS and USPS will make delivery without problems. Sorry yours got lost.

FCP fixed the earlier event a few weeks ago without hesitation. This is the first time I've been presented with the 'Affidavit'. Not only does it threaten legal action, including jail time, it stipulates that if the original order does show up - ever, in perpetuity - I have to pay the postage to send it back. All this over $50 worth of stuff.
I discovered another little issue, ordered the part on Amazon Tuesday, and the box hit my front porch a few minutes ago ( I am not a Prime guy.)

My spouse orders stuff on Amazon and it not a Prime member. Somehow, we occasionally get USPS delivery of the Amazon packages on Sunday. So much I do not understand these days.
I have never heard of the Affidavit for reorder of stuff.

Shipping has been an issue for most of the summer, with all suppliers. They're trying, but warehouses are backed up or out of stock, shipping companies are backed up. We did a pretty major BMW project earlier this summer, on a very tight timeline. I sprang for 2-day and 3-day deliveries etc....things took two weeks or more! We were a bit panicked.
FCP and others graciously refunded the shipping costs but we had many late nights.
Then we sent a driveshaft to Texas to rebuild. UPS took 5-ish days MT to TX. They rebuilt it in essentially one day, then 4-5 days to send it back. I was pretty impressed actually.

The few items I ordered on the 19th were in stock and FCP showed it shipped the 21st. When I got in touch with them, I didn't want another box sent down the same pipeline, I was hoping somebody there would expend a little effort to find out where the first shipment was. Their response was the aforementioned affidavit. This is the second order in a row gone astray; FCP fixed the first one a few weeks ago by sending a replacement to my other place, it arrived in a timely fashion, and I fixed the car on the street. This current order was for some intake stuff, and the car really runs awful , but I was out of time and had to drive it anyway.
(On a side note, I needed some short torx wrenches to deal with damper motor issues, ordered them from Amazon last Tuesday, they showed up Friday morning . I don't have Prime ).
I just got an email saying it was delivered over the weekend, up there, not where the car and I am, and just in time to get drenched by the remnants of Delta.
I bought my first Volvo in 1971, and have done business with FCP for years. This has been very disappointing.

Shipping is in disarray from Covid. FCP has been fantastic for me, though, all year
