It seems official, 1387105 boots are not available in the Volvo USA system, and according to the six (6) parts managers at various Volvo Agencies I spoke with on the phone, they are unlikely to be again, ever. Lots of webstores still show them in their online catalog, I even placed a couple of orders; but, just like placing an order for them with Tasca, within days (or hours) the order is cancelled, refund(s) pending.
Skanix.de still lists them, they showed 8 on inventory last time I checked, but as I mentioned in an earlier post, minimum shipping from Europe is 125 euros.
As soon as I get home from this wrestling match with Healthcare Professionals, I will get serious about finding a workaround. Several steering rack boots have potential. Getting exact dimensions online has proven challenging, but I am stubborn.
