ETM software

Greetings,
I asked in an earlier post but didn't get a definitive answer so I'll try again hoping someone can help.

For a given engine code (B5234T3 in my case), is there any difference in the ETM software between a vehicle with a manual transmission (M56) versus an automatic transmission?

Yes. An AT car has a TCM that talks to the ECM, a MT car does not

Thank you for your response.

I understand an AT has a TCM and a MT does not. My question concerns the ETM and the software contained within it.

Does the AT TCM also talk to the ETM or does the ECM talk to the ETM based on TCM input?

My thinking is that in either transmission, the ETM is responding to the throttle position sensor and the ECM (based on other sensor input).

Are you saying that the AT ETM software is absolutely different than the MT ETM software?

Sorry, I brain farted. I read ECU where you wrote ETM.

I don’t know if the throttle body software is diffferent, I don’t think it is , but don’t know definitely
