Hello everyone,
We bought this car in 02/2017 mainly for our high school age girls to drive, it had about 192k on it at the time. We are the third owner, but the second owner had it since 2005 and kept it very clean. He also kept ALL of the maintenance and repair records. It was always garaged until we got it and it certainly shows.
Overall it is in very nice condition still, I'd say slightly above average. The paint is still super shiny, but it does have some dings and scratches. The high school parking lot was not so kind to the car I'm afraid.
The interior is still very presentable, although the driver seat is a bit discolored. No rips or tears though.
It drives, shifts and brakes just fine. Everything works as it should exept for the headlight wipers, which I disconnected. Also, the alarm doesn't trigger anymore, but I have not investigated. The tires are probably nearing their end of life due to age.
The original tan steering wheel and trim comes with the car, as does a nice cargo liner and a rusty tow hitch. PO assured me that he used it only for a bike rack and for towing a wood splitter.
An oil change has just been done last week.
The following has been done under our ownership:
Oil changes roughly every 3500miles. I have the records.
12/ 2017, All parking brake hardware including shoes and cables replaced, OEM
Tranny fluid drain and fill
New seat belt latch installed on driver seat, OEM
04/2018, Front right axle replaced, Aftermarket
01/2019, Timing belt and water pump replaced, OEM
Camshaft seals and cvvt hub seals replaced, OEM
Breather system replaced, OEM
02/2019 Catalytic converters replaced, Aftermarket
10/2019 New Interstate battery installed
I have all the records from our time of ownership and below is a photo of the PO's maintenance history summary.
So what needs to be addressed?
The car does use some oil to the tune of about 1 quart per 1000 miles.
There is a rattle presumably coming from an exhaust or cat heat shield.
Also the tranny and steering rack have a slight leak.
The front brakes are starting to vibrate a little, but the rotors and pads still have a lot of life left in them.
Clean title in hand. Asking price is $2200
