These storage tubs with the lid on can be stacked if contents are not too heavy. I try to keep things off the floor, but I fail everyday. If I use boxes or tubs, I try to label the contents on the outside or a paper inside. However, one opening to add or remove without updating the label and I have failed again. I know how to use a warehouse system (I worked at plants with great warehouse systems), but I do not have the discipline to do it.

Now, as for the shelving let me encourage you. Since moving in 5 years ago I have not been able to put a car into the garage. Son and I put these up sometime late last year and we briefly put his C30 in then we decided to open all the stuff to clear things out and now everything is back on the ground. The card board is for those large repairs which I will never do
I realigned the entire garage door so it is now centered. The rigidity has made the garage door much quieter and smoother. The curved front rail picks up the weight on one end. Center weight is on the wall and the end is from the ceiling. Solid as a rock. The height of front piece of wood is to clear the door and is sitting on half the rail.
The hard part is without my son I couldn't and wouldn't have attempted the project. The mind for it besides body is getting that way.
