S70 Rocker Panels

Hi-

Has anyone replaced the rocker panels on an S70?
I'm just going to clarify that I don't mean the plastic guards.
The only youtube info I can find is a few videos where people call the 'dirt gurads' rocker panels.
I am talking about the actual metal/structural piece.

Any help would be appreciated.

Smacnab in Boston just became your new friend. He replaced a rear rocker on his S70 this summer.

I’ve got donor metal from a black v70 in my driveway in NY, East.....but it’s headed to scrapper imminently

Thanks everyone.
I was under the impression that the panel itself is one long metal fab?
I know there are innner rockers and rocker trim inside etc. But with mine I believe it;s just the outer bottom panel of the rocker
I have a boroscope and able to get a pretty good look inside with the covers off.
Luckily my situation is nothing like that poor guy in the write on the site.
Nothing structural to repair -no collision or rot damage etc
My panels only show rust on the very bottom of the outer panels - in the middle, in fact corners and interior look great.
Basically just the spots where the rivets attach the plastic guards.

I was thinking about just cutting the whole section off a rust free donor from the top of the outer section down to the mounting holes for the covers at the bottom.

I think what I am going to do with the guards off for now- winter time - is to spray in some fluid film put the guards back on and replace them in the spring.
Hoping that the fluid film will stall the process until March.

Any thoughts on that?

Post up a few pictures. It sounds like more trouble than it might be worth.

The structural part of the cars in this area is a strong honeycombed steel that is really well protected from rust.
