Yeaaah, that's a little steep at just over $4,200 USD. It is a rare car though, 850 turbo/manual combo was only available in Canada for the North America market.

Is that right bdub? I thought Rs and AWD MANUALS were Canada only, but FWD turbo sticks were all North America?

850 turbo manual was Canada only, we didn't get a turbo manual until '98. AWD manuals are true unicorns, and I don't even know if Canada got a manual R? They might have, but those would be even more rare than LPT AWD M58 cars.

Canada gets all the nice things. That’s because they follow Mothers’ advice and are polite to everyone.

The Creator rewards that behaviour with cities like Toronto, Tim Hortons, the Maple Leafs, bacon that you can eat, and NHS that costs 1/2 as much as ours. They even let Scots in.

Canadian cars were often spec'd well, but then we paid a lot more for them. Manuals are not un-common here in P80's. 850AWD (1997 only) was manual trans only as far as I have found. V/S70's AWD's were auto's. I have not found a stick version here, but it is possible.

I THINK they were available with an M58 in 1998, but I don’t know for sure. I feel I remember seeing one for sale in Canada maybe 6 or 8 months ago. It was listed for an outrageous price, and the seller kept talking about how rare it was.

'85 740 turbo diesel sedan, 108-112k, $2500. Standard tranny. Lancaster PA area. "Older couple owned it" and they were hard on clutches. "There are some issues" but, again, at the price. Body has a little rust but for a 35 y/o car....
