Problem releasing electronic parking brake

I have a 2010 V70R with the parking brake not releasing. This has happened twice in the last few weeks, both times when I start the car, release the electronic brake, it backs up slowly. After I move forward I feel like the rear is dragging then a chattering sound and smell of burning rubber. I stop turn off the engine, pull the brake lever and start up and it runs fine.

I do not get any warning light on the dash. The parking light goes on then off when I start the engine. Since this first happened I have been avoiding using the parking brake except for the second time when I set it out of habit.

Any suggestions as to what is happening and what to do to fix?
