87 240 starting issue
In starting my 240 I didn't have the clutch totally disengaged. It went forward just a little then I tried to start it again but it would not. After many attempts I checked spark and fuel. All ok. The next morning I was going to see if the timing belt jumped but decided to give it another try. It started and runs fine. My question is why? Why wouldn't it start then after sitting overnight start? I had returned from a 80 mile trip and it ran great . Is there any connection to trying to start the car with the clutch not totally disengaged?
