Replaced TCM and new speed sensor. Code P0700 and P0722 and ABS/Brake lights will still throw. What is it? Mechanic says the wiring and everything looks great. Is it my ABS brake module? Should I buy that used/new? Should I remove it and send it to get repaired?

How easy is it to locate the module and take it out on my own from a 2001 Volvo S40?

UPDATE: The swapped TCM caused the car to not shift out of 1st gear. Mechanic put the original TCM back in. Now the car cannot get out of 1st gear regardless. I do not know what to do. Do I take the car at a loss and drop this mechanic and suck it up. Run to a Volvo Dealership and pay out the bum just to get the vehicle to work again? I've never been to a dealership but I am prepared to pay money in order to have it running again.

FWIW, the dealer service that I referred to in the other thread cost $411.
I've never taken any of my cars to an outside mechanic or a dealer, but that time I sucked it up.

Looking back, I'm glad I did. To get another 50,000 miles (and counting) out of the car for $411 was worth it to me.
I rolled the dice and won -for a change!

It was the ABS Module in case anyone else has a similar problem. I pulled it out myself and sent it to ModuleMasters. They were quick and did great work. Put it back in and my car is good as new.

Just wondering how the car has been since rebuilding that ABS a year and a half ago. Mostly curious because I have the 0722 code right now. The ABS has come on infrequently over the years but it doesn't generally last long. I'm now wondering if I'm going to need both an ETM and ABS module. May have to suck it up and have the codes read at the mechanic instead of just the other parts store.
