850 Wood steering wheel disassembly

Hi there,

I'm new here on this forum, i'm driving a 850 sedan in Dark Olive Pearl in the Netherlands.

I currently have the opportunity to buy a wooden steering wheel for the 850.
It is the full wooden version, not the one with wooden "inserts".

Since it has beige plastic, which would not look good on my interior, i'm wondering if it is possible to remove al the inner plastics.
Has anyone here ever done such a disassembly?
