Hello all! Happy to have heard about this forum from the parts department of my local dealer.
After resetting the trip odometers of my new-to-me XC70 T6 -- so happy to have a Volvo wagon again -- there are no longer two pairs of numbers for what I had assumed were average mpg and mph for trip in the upper set (16.4 and 19) and overall in the lower set. I was very wrong. Maybe also by playing around with the themes, I messed up something. Not sure what the lower set is/was now. The manual is of little help. What is it? Why are "zeroes" or "null/empty set" symbols being displayed?
Instrument panel: avg mpg/mph -- trip 1/2 & overall?

Ø is used as a symbol for average value.
Origin: "Average" in German is Durchschnitt. Which directly translates as cut-through.

There's a section called Trip Statistics in the menus under "MyCar".
As far as undefined results on the dash display, take something like instantaneous "miles per gallon". When the car is not moving, the value is considered undefined, which displays as "--".
