That was my first introduction to Volvo in 1976, I remember the vapors. This friend's dad purchased it new (a 66 I think) and I drove it a couple of time after getting my license. Talk about play in the steering wheel and body roll in the corners but it never felt like it would tip over. The following Volvo was their new 1984 4 door 240 turbo, then it was my brother's new 93 850. I think it was the first year?

My first purchase was an 89 240 wagon in 1997. Had to sell it after a couple of months due to a move across the US. A 98 S70 T5 in 2012, 08 C30 T5 2.0 in 2018 and the 2003 S80 T6 in 2019. Next to VW I think it's second most brand I've ever driven in, the first VW a 71 Beetle was riding in.

Gonna pass also. The 2003 S80 T6 will have to go but this after the airbag recall is done. Besides, I have quite a few suspension parts and three hoses to install before then. Too fun and nice of a cruiser when it's all said and done so difficult to let go.

I wonder when Volvo plans on taking care of the airbag recall... the S60 may be going soon, but I'd like to get that taken care of first. I got a letter a few weeks ago but of course Volvo hasn't gotten the parts to start replacing airbags yet.

I've got a '62/67 two-many-doors 122 (long story, not legal in all 50 states), suffering from benign neglect at the moment, but fortunately it's inside.
Once I get a bit more settled with some health issues, it may have to go to make room for the '57 Duett basket.

I'd love one of those. I'll take that V60 next to it too, I'll be the guinea pig to manual swap one!

I received the letter also but we still have to wait for the second letter indicating the parts are available. In good conscience I can't get rid of it till it's completed and we only use it when we absolutely have to. What a terrible plight this is.
