Hi
Should the long breather to air intake hose that straddles the top of the engine be clamped on both of its ends? As it currently is, it doesn't seem to be too tight on both ends. I am concerned that if I hit a big dip or bump, this hose might come of on one or even both ends.
Also, is the insulating jacket necessary?
Thanks!

B230FT breather hose - clamp or not?
The hoses get old and loose. I have replaced them, but have used original Volvo as anything else does not last. No clamps on my two cars and the insulator is not required but in a cold climate the vapors may ice up. No worry here in TX.
Hey thanks for the reply.sseir39 wrote:The hoses get old and loose. I have replaced them, but have used original Volvo as anything else does not last. No clamps on my two cars and the insulator is not required but in a cold climate the vapors may ice up. No worry here in TX.
What other types of hoses have you tried if I may ask?
The reason I ask is because I am thinking that I would want to install an oil catch can in between the intake hose and the Y connector on top of the breather box tube, and the replacement hose needs to be a more flexible one.
