It is unusual to get that much snow here in southern Oklahoma. It fell yesterday and last night. Dawn was clear and -3 F. Negative temperatures are unheard of in this area. My heat pump with back up auxiliary electric heat never shuts off.

Can confirm. Im in Dallas here and its chaos. So many without power and no alternative heating sources. Im fortunate to be right outside dallas and still have power and gas heating. Woke up to 0F. Never in my life have I experienced 0F.
Temperature was -9F this morning with clear sky. Forecast is more snow this afternoon. I grew up in northern Kansas and have seen more snow, ice and cold than here in Oklahoma. However, I was glad to move south and leave most of that behind.

Firstly, does anyone know what material (alu/steel?) the OE intercooler pipes are on the T5s? I'd go out and check but we're being battered by storms currently. Secondly, does anyone know how to test either the BCS or the CBV diaphragm? I have a combination of low boost and not holding boost, which meets the symptoms of both parts.

Being stuck indoors is making me contemplate silly things like respraying the hardlines etc.
I think they're steel, but I'm not 100% sure.

At -10F, it doesn’t matter how much colder it gets, you just die faster. I once rode my bike home from work in +10F (not by choice), with a nasty headwind. Even the slightest breeze at that temp is painful, much less in the negatives. I can still remember the pain in my face and ears.

I was just in the garage and checked with a magnet ('94 T5) - the crossover pipe seems to be aluminum. The one at the top of intercooler is plastic.

Got it home, put two jump boxes on it and it started right up! Still runs beautifully at 254k miles. I'm so glad to have this car back, this is one of the cleanest P80s around. Well, aside from the obvious... It'll likely be fixed and sold to one of my cousins who needs a car, but we'll see what happens... I really like this one.

Same story with this car as with my '98 GLT... guy I sold it to wrecked it, then it went to Copart.
Not sure if there was a silver and gray in 98 but my former 98 S70 T5 had the nicest silver compared with later models which seemed to be more pewter. I've posted this a few times but here it is again. Would love to have it back and wouldn't WOT again causing the massive oil leak on the 235K motor! It was so easy to drive, the engine sound was superb and the exhaust note was excellent also for being stock.

You don't see a ton of P80s in mystic silver, but I really love it. It looks great on these cars. Silver sand/pewter is a nice color, but more understated.

Oooh, 427 is such a great color. Very rare color too.
