One of the stranger chapters in America's long, long muscle car book.

https://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/co ... ison-test/

I had a 4.3 Vortec and it sounded awful. Terrible. Not from disrepair, that's just how they were. Strained, coarse, gross. Loads of torque.

I've never heard a Syclone or its S-10 twin (forget the name, some other weather misspelling IIRC), but I hope they fixed the sound.

A small mid-engine Porsche prototype that never was. Not sure the year. It's in the museum warehouse. Hints of the 550 Spyder.

It could have been the new 914. It could have been the new VW 4 cylinder sportscar rumored for so long.

Too bad. The VW 1.8/2.0 iron block 4-cyl is a proven engine. They could have used that.

I looked up the VW BlueSport - that was over 10 years ago, wow. I wonder if they were related - so similar, and for a company to build two prototypes from scratch seems silly.

How about a BRM H-16 for your next project car?

That's two flat 8's, stacked, with the two crankshafts geared together.
