Got passed by a Tesla with thr driver fast asleep. Creepy. Drove for about 3 minutes , then woke up
Aaaand that right there is my biggest problem with autonomy. I have a lot of issues with it, but this is a major one. I just don't trust any of these computers to reliably function, and if the driver is paying zero attention, even worse.
I was just watching a video of a new Elantra last night, talking about the driver assists that come standard. It's ridiculous... the lane keeping assist and auto steering is really awful. It was constantly correcting in the wrong directions, and would just about merge into other cars. It even eventually locked into the oncoming lane on one road... not ideal! The car seems like it actively tries to kill you.

I finally replaced my leaking PS reservoir with the newer P2 design. The old one was a new direct replacement which I installed only 6k miles ago. It started leaking already a few months ago which is pretty disappointing. Good thing is that FCP will give me my money back.
The return hose is too short for the new design so I made a little extension out of a Napa 12inch long pre- flared 5/16 brake line. Doesn't look great but works perfect.

Huh, I've never seen one need to be extended. Must have been trimmed a couple times before. It's only a little bit further than the hose needs to reach to connect to the new style reservoir.

Doesn't it just look so much better though? One of the smallest things you can do to make such a huge visual improvement on these cars.

It sure looks better, but I was also getting really tired of the mess the leaks made. The hose was about 3 - 4 inches too short. There was no way the hose would have reached. Plus, it's easier to install the reservoir if you have a little extra slack in the hoses.

Got my shot Monday. Felt lousy Tuesday. Feel great now, so relieved.

I was just out in the garage and found a tool explosion and I have no excuse for why it's there!

I got 1st shot Friday. Minor arm pain for a couple days - much like any other shot for anything.
Everyone get theirs.

Replaced WSW transmission bracket bushings on the 850 T5.
Shoulda taken 15 minutes. Took two hours. Salty sailor sex-words were said. It finally yielded.

Built a small smoke can tester to check for intake leaks. Worked great ! Didn't find any. The smoke eventually came out of the oil filler opening.
