Yes! I always measure it on my own driveway with the car always in the same position.

Same engine temperature?

Yes, always with a cold engine (car not used for at least 8 hours).

I took off my snow tires (last week? time is meaningless) and found that one of my all-season tires had developed dimples on its sidewall. It’s toast, right?

I'm no expert, but here's what the experts say about sidewall indentations:

Thanks for that! These days, I usually drive around town like a tortoise, so I was puzzled as to what might've caused it without having hit any potholes.

Today, I had the '04 XC90 return a bunch of codes, including 'reduced engine performance,' before it failed to start. Luckily, I had suspected the battery was about to fail and bought a new Interstate from Costco just before xmas. On the old battery (also an Interstate), I see date and year markings on the sticker atop the old battery, but no indication as to how old it is.

The old one had a vent, but the new one does not.

Not that easy to see, but the new battery should have the vent holes on both sides. They don't give you the little plastic elbow though, so you have to swap that over.

Yup, swap over that breather connector. I always like to make sure batteries that are inside the car are properly vented.

Swapped out the old headunit in the T5. It's nothing fancy, but it gets the job done and allows me to play from my SD card, or stream from the phone.
The old one had replaced the dead stock unit, but after 7 years of use (It was in another car prior to this) it was in need of replacement.
