I suspect as another Volvo fleet owner your OCD is always on high alert! It is so familiar, I can recognise it from this distance.

I don't remember, but I think they were good.
Those doors look to be 419... not quite the same as the rest of the car!

An S70 in that darker grey would be insanely cool. And I mean chill.Abscate, I read other posts (related to issues I have had or seemed interesting) and you seem to be the one with the biggest cookie jar full of jokes that I have ever seen. LOL!

What did I do to my Volvo you ask? I had a metal yard come pick up my junk XC, headed to the crusher. That trailer is going to take up 50% less space in the place of the junk XC. Also I threw a rod in my 960 today which I think is a result of a strange transmission hiccup. Needless to say I am extremely disappointed and frustrated with all the work I have done to it.

^ Sorry to hear that ! It's a terrible feeling to go through all that loving work, and then have it go kaput. :(

Keep the faith !!

Slapped the fender on and replaced the battery cable on the S70. Man, this one was in bad shape! Explains the pulsing interior lighting. Well I hope it does at least, I’ll find out when I get the car back together.

Volvo only for that puppy, unless you like flagellatimg yourself with battery cables annually. Of course, you can also go the crimp and fab route as you know.

Now I have a third member in my fan club,me, Mom,and a cool guy in OK!

Sorry about the 960 engine but maybe it’s not a rod? Link us to the thread here since we don’t often visit the RWD guys

My 850 has burned 1L, sorry, 1.05Quarts of oil in the last 1600 miles. Aside from ensuring I singlehandedly keep ExxonMobil afloat, is this acceptable, bad, or fubar'd? Mobil1 Super3000 full syn, 5W40, 20miles of 30-70mph twisty single-lane mountain roads and then ~50 miles of motorway cruising at 70mph per drive cycle (twice daily, five times a week, plus some smaller mileage thrown in at the weekends).

Secondly, I've started to get irritated by the delay in washer fluid delivery now that I'm commuting down the perpetually filthy and wet M4 corridor of South Wales. I'm assuming I have bad non-return valves, but I couldn't find one on the rear when I have previously had the assembly apart. Where should it be located? Similarly, is the 3-way valve under the bonnet insulation a non-return or just a splitter?

Lastly, I noticed today that my fathers XC60 has the same size wiper blade as the 850. It also has the same size wiper arm cover/holder/thingy-majig. Has anyone tried fitting P2/P3 wiper arms onto the P80s? Looks a lot better than the janky kinked and speed-drilled stock one.

A liter in 2500 KM? Not too bad for an old horse, any blue smoke on overrun? It’s cheaper to do the valve job before the valve breaks.
