Unluckily I have a 2000 V70 with VIN 715283 that is > 649120 where the old style rear engine mount pad Volvo p/n 9434435 gets replaced with new mount Volvo p/n 8627127. Its the bastard of the bastard models.
I can find the old style mount everywhere but apparently the aftermarket never made the new mount and Volvo has discontinued it. So I am now wondering if the old mount could be made to fit. I cannot find any info on what the differences are between the two.
Does anyone know if the old mount can be made to fit where the later mount is called for?

Yes,fcp tech support told me the same and I did. Four hours later I was informed it was discontinued and my money would be refunded.

Pics show the support bracket on the engine, not the rear mount/pad referred to by the part numbers. The pad is underneath the bracket. You release the pad from the bracket by that flange nut.
Presumably you could get the other bracket from a junkyard car and then use the other pad? What a hassle ...
I'd try a PM to bmdubya1198, he has a 2000 and may know about this one.

Thanks. Yes, I cannot get a good shot of the pad but I was told this bracket matches that used on the C70 with the AW55 and I am trying to understand if cross-sourcing is possible. The key thing here is this car uses the AW55 5-speed and may not be able to use the previous bracket that matches to the more common 9434435 pad used with the 4 speed autos.

Being a 2000 V70 NA does it have the 5 speed auto? The only reason I can think that the rear mount would change is because of the oil cooler being mounted on the oil pan. Otherwise can't think why it would be different to the older version?
I tried checking on GCP.SE website (classic Volvo and it is not listed there either.
Volvo use a bunch of these similar styled mounts. P2 models also use these style. It may be a case where we need to try to find a matching one going forward that can become an interchange part #.
I wish you luck.
Neil.

Sorry, see you replied to this while I was typing. Skandix lists the same part number for the rear of all models except the diesel in Europe. Maybe you have to order the part of the older version and then remove the newer one to compare. Same engine to older models for the most part in terms of weight. If it is the same dimensions (old one may be shorter due to age) but as long as the upper has the small locating pin in the same place it may be a swap out. Volvo changed many parts over the years and gave the same part a different part number when they changed something else. Eventually they sometimes get smart and consolidate part numbers.

Yes, it has the AW55 5-speed auto. That seems the most likely reason for the change in mount.
