Who's gotten vaccinated?

I'm not talking about trading one pharmaceutical for another. What I'm suggesting is that maybe an industry that employs 1274 professional lobbyist, more than two for every member of both houses of congress, and spends over 230 million per year doing it, might just not be totally trustworthy when it comes to what is the best overall strategy to combat this problem. They got just what they wanted; A blank check to be payed for by ....wait for it .....the taxpayer ! The government could have ramped up production of N95 masks and told the general public that the mask will protect the wearer from getting the disease, but instead they did nothing, and told people to wear surgical masks to protect others, not themselves. I'm sorry but we are a bit of a self-centered people, so not surprisingly people chose not to wear them. I truly believe that if the mask industry had a fraction of the pull that big pharma has, we would have seen N95 masks available everywhere for free, and if people had been told that they would protect the wearer first, we would have seen much greater compliance with using them. But $$$$$ buys a good story. And lots and lots of politicians.
Remember, this country comprises about 4% of the worlds population, but we consume 80% of the worlds pain killers. We are the only country in the world that pushes flu shots every year for its citizens, regardless of their need. And no other country, with the exception of little New Zealand, allows pharmaceutical companies to push their drugs directly to consumers via TV ads.
So forgive me for being just a little bit skeptical of their motives when it comes to a novel virus that has only been around for a little over a year, but for which they have found the " magic cure " in only a few months.

Finally they found a reason to bring in everyone and put a chip in their neck!

My niece is a Microbiologist and has been doing vaccines for over 30 years. She said the reason they got it done this quick was because a lot of the work was already done. This is the benefit of funding ongoing research.

I get mine Friday 4/2. It looks like I'm getting one dose Johnson & Johnson. The Johnson & Johnson is what my niece called her dream vaccine but they gave her Pfizer instead.

I got my second Moderna shot today. I hope everyone will carefully consider getting one of the vaccines, if you have not already. They are now widely available to nearly everyone.

Once everybody had the chance to get vaccinated. Insurance companies and Medicare should be exempted from any COVID-19 hospital bills for people who elected not to get vaccinated. Let them pay for the financial consequences of their choice.
