Reading this, I feel like I got lucky when I replaced my brake hoses--I managed to change both fronts and rears and bleed the system in a short afternoon.
The rear hose over the delta link was the most daunting. It was in good shape, and I approached it with a "what the heck" attitude. I had already ordered the part and figured I could just leave the old one in if I couldn't remove it. It did take some patience, and a good flare nut wrench, but I found it wasn't nearly as hard I was expecting.
One of the secrets to my good luck is having a Pacific Northwest car. There was practically no corrosion on any of the fittings. If rust or the need or great leverage had been involved, I suspect I would still be running the old delta link hose, or still be under the car...

I agree, it's going to vary car by car, some may be impossible some pretty easy, you won't know until you try.
Last fall when I dismantled the rear brakes on my parts car while it was in the driveway, I did not have much trouble with the brake hose above the delta link so I was able to just remove it all piece by piece, from caliper to metal lines to hose (I threw out the hose, kept the lines and calipers). I think it took about an hour and a half to remove everything, including the rear hubs.

The delta link design on the p80 is a wonderful marriage of design, simplicity, and performance. Basically, two major wear parts.

I would never allow my rear suspension to get into the deplorable sort of condition this one pictured is in.

Learn me something here about this geometry please.
If one wheel is at full droop (as in extreme cornering), is the lateral link from the opposite side affected to the point it changes camber or toe? There's a "bit" of a swing arm length from the bushing to where the cross link is attached.

I think that’s right but the weight of the wheel would be so small compared to the cornering force I think they thought this through in the design. These cars certainly corner on rails.BlackBart wrote: ↑11 Apr 2021, 19:59 Learn me something here about this geometry please.

The rear sway bar also helps on that if you have it

Wow, one thing that is easier on AWD cars. Rear brake hoses. But there are 2 on them. As for the rear suspension, I think the design of the AWD multi link rear suspension significantly increases camber on compression due to the unequal length upper and lower control arms, and also increases toe due to the longer rear lower toe rod.
