Hi Guys.
A little while ago I had asked a question about why my sunroof would no longer open and someone here stated that usually it means that the alarm system has some corrosion of sorts near the plug for the alarm which is located near the passenger side wheel well on my 2002 V70 (P2).
My question is do I need to pick up at a dealer those small press-in type clips that hold the plastic sheet back up into the wheel well
after I disconnect the alarm plug? I have not jacked up the car yet to look at what I need to do. Thx in advance!

These are hard to find on the Volvo webstore - buried in the Mudflaps section.

they come apart in two pieces, the centre pin and the body then you can re use them, just tap/punch out the centre with a nail or punch. Volvo use them in a host of different places, ive got a bag of them i have removed from my junkyard car.

I did remove only the rivets needed - I think 3 -4 of them, and didn't put anything back, it stays well. Otherwise, if you have a junkyard, remove some plastic pins from the cross member above the radiator
