Brake lights cheap fix

Post by cleven »

Well brake lights have not worked since Iv got the car. Where they screw into the metal part was not making a good contact and was blowing fuses. Went to the junk yard and every v70 was the same way if not worse. Soooo I just went to autozone found some universal sockets that fit secure in the light wired them up and now I have brake lights! Just wanted to share in case anyone else has the issue.

"where they screw into the metal parts...."

is that bulb in the socket resistance ?
The older volvo red blocks suffered from that.
Haven't had any trouble with my p2.
