Getting annoyed with all of these problems my Volvo is throwing at me.
AM works. It's just that the FM just decided to only work when it wants to with no rhyme or reason. No AUX.
Is it just dying on me and I have no other choice but replace with one from ebay? Or just a thing that just happens and it'll go away?

On my 2004 S80 the antenna cable connection needed cleaning at that box. Good FM reception since. June

As above, most usually it's a loose/corroded connector somewhere along the antenna wire

@June How and with what did you use to clean the antenna connection?
So apparently you can run the radio perfectly without the amp. But still my problem persist with or without the amp connected to the wires.
@oragex Do you know where else would there be corrosion to the FM line? I'm guessing it would be behind the radio box?

Hey guys. Still waiting on a reply, and so far for the past 2 weeks it's been the same. I can still disconnect the amp and have intermmitent radio reguardless, so should I get a replacement amp first or is it just the radio box itself?

I used a wire brush for the male connector and a wire pipe cleaner shaped brush for the female. The connectors looked like galvanized steel then was shiny after I cleaned them. Junechris11211 wrote: ↑11 May 2021, 22:56 @June How and with what did you use to clean the antenna connection?

Looks like I'm going to have to look to ebay for a new radio. Again, it honestly seems like the amp doesn't even do anything as the radio can just turn on/off by itself with the unit disconnected.
Is there anything I should look out for? Do I have to go to the dealer for programming?
