2003 V70 Radiator fan runs as soon as key is turned. Any ideas

This can be caused by a faulty engine temperature sensor, and I have also seen this happen on earlier models when the MAF is disconnected.

After changing AC compressor on 2006 xc70 the fan would run fast on startup. Stopped doing this once I recharged the refrigerant.
