'95 850 Turbo - VDO Dashboard, DLC A7, DTM1, code 1-1-3

Post by pmpalma »

Gents,

My fuel gauge isin't working since I've "tried" to fix that broken odometer gear from my VDO dashboard. Pulled out the code from DLC A7, DTM1 and got the following:
1-1-3: Fuel gauge sensor open-circuit.

I assume it's a wire or some sort of electrical connection, is there a location in particular you guys suggest for me to look into first? The gauge was working fine prior the tentative fix, so I presume it was a wire I yanked or something :(

Thanks to all

If you yanked the instrument cluster for the gear replacement and this happened after this repair, then that's where I would start. I agree that you've pulled a wire loose back there or somehow are causing a break in the wire.

Does anyone know which connector actually powers the fuel gauge?
