Neil.
There is a place for NA's in this world, not everybody needs a turbo IMHO. High price for a plain P2 wagon for sure, but it is getting hard to find really clean ones.

I do like NA's, especially the 5 speed auto 2000 I had and my buddy insisted on buying (he said he needed it more than I did!).

What I was trying to say it is a lot for a regular P80 and not say an 850 T5R or V70 T-5 or 'R. But I am pleased to see some people do see the value of a more 'analogue' vehicle!

They shook the 1800 tree at BaT, and out fell this Retail Red unit. Interior sure is bright.
At least the trunk lid fits.
These cars seem to be drawing pretty good action at the moment.

As I recall the E and ES had a slightly different stalk; this one may have the wrong boot, and my '69 had the little tray thing that kind of filled up the space. Plus that crimson carpet...

'59 544 No Reserve
https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1959-volvo-pv544-3/
The listing dealer sure doesn't seem to have much interest in doing any routine maintenance on the poor thing, especially given the fact it made $16k on its last trip through the BaT wash cycle (dealer -to-dealer deal.) The dual-outlet Abarth muffler must have come with a badge in the box.
Topsides look tidy, bottom and bilge, ???

And an '83 Canary Brick. Not the most hateful thing; under bits - especially the front frame stubs - look pretty clean.

'72 1800E, a two-time offender at BaT. Also retail Red, but without the blinding carpet. On the other hand,
the description says the seller put DynaMat down - then re-installed the old faded carpet. I wonder how dear a fresh set is these days.
