That red P1800 really gathered up some healthy “ discussion “ on what is a restoration vs original.
There was an old joke we used to tell when I worked at Smithsonian about the George Washington cherry tree hatchet .
Aside from the head being replaced twice and getting three new handles, it was the exact same tool used in the crime.
There doesn't seem to be any question this instant 1800 has been finished to a high degree, but there are legitimate concerns it may have suffered a whole-body transplant.
I may or may not own a 122 with a similar story.

Retail Red, and in the loving embrace of a Dealer.
Bid to 9k and didn't sell. I am sure we will see it again sometime.

Another interesting one. Base model 99' V70 with only 67k miles. Looks super clean and all maintenance seems up to date, but I wonder if these are becoming collector cars. Also not really an exiting color combination IMHO.

People have questions.
Plus, Canada !
Withdrawn by BaT - as it should be - after too many questions over too many days.
Something really bad happened to the numbers on this car, whether the owner/seller knew it or not.

I have wondered, too. A day to go and it's at $8,250.

There was a similar low mileage ur-XC last spring (2020) on BAT that went for $9,600, IIRC. Really clean examples are bringing high prices. It has certainly influenced me to be more thorough in refreshing my lower-mileage '00.

Made $9500 plus the fees; pretty spirited contest toward the end.
Condition of the drivetrain is an open question, but it looks like it's all there.
Probably not bad money for the project, which included the rotisserie.
Shipping should be a real hoot.

And now, one that lives up to the original BaT concept:
