Hanging lines under car 2001 v70

Post by alilaforet »

I got two lines under my car one hanging still and the other one was dragging disconnected. Both appear to be down the middle. Not sure where the other one connects to. Also, confused with a similar looking hose just poking out in the rear. If there’s a diagram or a picture how their suppose to look that would be awesome. I saw video saying there should’ve been a cover. Was also wondering if zip ties would work after we’ve reconnected everything

Looks like an emergency brake snapped at the rear wheel.
Hose hanging down is probably the battery overflow hose.

^This is battery fluid overflow drain and poisonous gas escape -- make sure it is connected to the elbow at the battery port.

MDK here, looks like you're missing the cover.. the other line up front looks disconnected. The rear one is supposed to be that way it's for the battery.. you could zip zip zip tie 'em

The skinny one trailing on the ground looks like the right position for an e-brake cable; the fat one that's drooping is the main fuel line and indeed as MDK said, there is a cover missing that should be holding it in place. The weird part is that the carbon canister vent line that should be next to the fuel line seems to be missing, unless it's obscured in this photo. They should be right next to each other. Unless the one I thought was the e-brake cable *is* the carbon canister vent line, and is just on the other side of the car for some reason (seems weird).

See my thread on the hanging lines under my own 2001 V70 for more information:
