Valovoline 75W-90 synthetic
Swapping gears in the quick-change rear at the speedway involved draining the Volcano-Hot 140. That's the kind of smell that doesn't wash off right away, and my racing ensemble was laundered by itself.

Recently replaced my passenger side lock (for the second time), passenger side window regulator lock tab (the little green circles) and driver's side door speaker. Having access to two pick n pull's plus multiple other junkyards within a 20 minute drive is very nice.

Aside for the SRS light from the clockspring I'm happy to be fixing small stuff.

You ain't kidding... that stuff takes an eternity. I remember pouring 75w90 into a Miata transmission a couple years ago in 28 degree weather one night after a super fast engine swap. It took a solid 20 minutes to down 2 quarts.
And the smell... I wish I could share the smell of the 300k mile fluid that we drained out of my cousin's old V70. That stuff was rank.


Driving around the V70R last night and the CEL popped on... yay! P0455 of course, because what other code would ever appear? I'll figure it out eventually... no idea what it could be now. Hope I don't have to drop the tank again.

Got my car realigned. I think the last place took my wallet to lunch. Had excessive toe in and out on both fronts. This matched the edge wear which I thought was camber. Hoping this will fix the wear issues

People never seem to do alignments right anymore. They charge top dollar, then they do the job wrong or not at all. Then they'll argue up and down that they're right and you just don't know what you're talking about.

Made room inside for one of the daily-driver candidates ( heat index close to the Century mark today ) for a little maintenance.

What was wrong with those old shocks? You probably could have gotten at LEAST 5 more miles out of those!

I saved the tubes they came in, and am waiting patiently for the Frugal Brigade to stake a claim.
