P80 (late 1999 2000 only) dash swap DIM ?

Contemplating a temporary swap of dashes so I can keep my 1999 on the road while I rebuild my dash mounts

Do I need to swap the DIMs for either

Immobiliser operation?

Maintain correct odometer?

Other reason?

Can't think why you can't swap it over. You can use your original speedo unit, and other than the airbag I can't think of anything other than wiring that is left. Immobiliser is on the side of the LH A pillar.

I had a spare dash for a long time and then realised it was a 98 which is different. It can still be used but you have to change the wiring harnesses over. 99-00 are the same.
