Problems are at the extremes ... Check the cable for worn bushings or anything that creates slack. Cable could be stretched preventing one from reaching reverse or first reliably.

Eyed some really really nice 417 hood and fenders. Got to figure out how to transport the hood, thinking of maybe strapping it to the roof of my car as it measures too wide to fit in the boot. Any ideas?

I don’t think I’ve been able to put a P80 hood in the back of a wagon, but if you up have a roof rack, that’s the best way to transport it.

If you don't have a roof rack, a couple blankets and ratchet straps work.

Just did it recently, didn't need a hood but had to take it with the rest of the hoard.

I continue to bring 850 to life…

Now it’s time for the glovebox. One hinge is broken the second one will be soon…

I wanted to do that to mine, but when I got it off, it was in twelve or 13 separate pieces, which is at least ten too may. It was pretty flexible (!) which made it much easier to put it back in.
