No volvo content but:

I cut out the "ski hatch" from my bmw. I have a subwoofer in the trunk but it has always sounded muffled. Quite the difference. It became a disco car 😃

Hehe, we have Mammoth 5h away. Pretty good skiing but nothing like Serre Chevalier or Val Thorens if you ask me 🙄

Edit: I'm too old and out of shape for skiing, but it could be useful to transport a few planks or something else long.

Those EZ lock reinforced Dremel wheels are awesome. Sometimes rusty bolts don’t even get a socket put on them , off with their heads

My brother's E34 has the ski pass thru fortunately (well, there's a panel that someone knocked out at one point...), but his new E90 doesn't have anything. It has the solid bulkhead and no pass thru, so if you need to haul anything you're screwed. I think my last E90 had folding seats. I can't believe that by then, those were still optional. I'd trade the sunroof out for the folding seats on any sedan... yet sunroofs were practically standard.

You should stop making stop gap modifications and get a real Volvo - with a rear hatch.

Solution: Wagon!
Ok, it's my Benz and not my Volvo, but you get the idea.

I couldn't live without a wagon! I just wish my E39 wagon had the same amount of space my V70R does. Makes it a little annoying when my "secondary" daily driver is required to haul larger stuff. Ugh... I need to stop screwing around and buy a truck already. Which will probably translate into me buying something ELSE I don't need...
