Agreed. Looks like a good candidate for saving if possible. I take it in the US no title means the vehicle can't be re-registered? Up here we can generate a Bill-of-Sale if the paperwork is missing to register the vehicle.
Car only has 132k miles on it and other then a really good clean inside and a somewhat damaged rear bumper it looks not too bad.

There are workarounds - depending on the jurisdiction, and sometimes purposeful subterfuge. It's getting harder, but sometimes a determined dealer can shuffle enough papers to make it work; in some cases it depends on the reason the title is absent. If I wasn't in the throes of Cash Flow Anemia I would be tempted to ask my pal to whack it, then make him go get it. Quite a hike from Kent Island but he has been known to go up there for an old boat with a rotten transom (full disclosure, he needed the trailer, but stil...)
He has a Scrappers Permit, which satisfies Capitals' internal watchdog folks.
