1995 960 needs new air conditioner condenser.

cost for it will be $1,250. car has 197,500 miles and runs like a dream. i use high test gas, change synthetic oil every 5,000 miles. should i go ahead with the air conditioner expense, or buy a new/used volvo?

Tough call. It is old, but Volvo's get that way. If you have kept up all the service and like the car, the AC repair may be less than purchasing a new/used car. In my experience, I usually drop at least a grand into my new/used Volvo's. Have you ever done any AC work? Isn't that bad and fcpgroton has the parts or other places do as well.
