Replace low beam headlamp 2005 S60 2.5T
Several posts indicate that the drivers side low beam headlamp on my 2005 S60 can be replaced easily. I can't even get my hand in between the air filter box and the rubber cap. I finally squeezed in there, acquiring several scratches and leaving a little blood behind, and removed the cap but I couldn't see a thing! I did replace the cap, incurring only minor additional damage, but did give up. Does anyone know of a you-tube post or other tutorial? Thanks in advance for your help.

Yes it is a tight fit. When I change mine, I remove the air cleaner box. It makes it much easier and the box is rather easy to remove.

Thanks Fazool for your response. Are there any special tricks or do you just start at the beginning and finish when you are done?

Volvo S60 (2005) low beam replacement
Be careful not to get any grease or dirt while it is going in and do not touch the glass with your fingers. If you accidentally get it dirty use some alcohol and low lint paper towel to clean it.
Blessings,
BKM

Youtuber "Peppermint" has a nice video for 2001-2004 S60, V70 (Glass type headlight assembly with H7 bulb) here
(For 2005-2009 HL bulb, see the link in video):
Please note that for 2001-2004, the H7 bulb has a tab that needs to point vertically at 12 o'clock position.
You can install it wrong (H7 tab pointing at 6 o'clock etc.), the beam intensity at night will be a bit off, not the end of the world.
But the correct way is the H7 tab points UPWARD...See photo...
