Driver's and passenger front windows are really slow, up and down. Rear windows are fast ("normal"), no indications of battery or voltage problems other than with these two windows.
I'll open up the door panels and see if the mechanisms are just in need of grease but IIRC there are maybe thermal resistors that get worn out and can be bypassed/removed? I'm not finding solutions in the forum archives even though I swear I've read some; maybe someone else can and/or has suggestions.

So i pulled the driver's door panel and did some tests.
Using the switch vs a line direct to the battery, the time to roll down or up is almost the same. Slightly longer through the switch wiring, as expected. Did all that with the car running so the battery output should be the same across tests. So there could be an issue in the motor, probably isn't one in the switch.
But from messing around the main thing I learned is that the biggest problem may be just dirty/sticky window moldings, a la https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JS2Jc_P ... Peppermint, rather than anything electrical or mechanical. Worth a shot. I'll finish cleaning those up tomorrow some time and see what that nets.

I’ve found a shot of silicone spray on the sliders speeds them up and doesn’t seem to gum the windows , or streak them too badly
You can put T5 stickers on them too. Alternatively , scrape off the ‘R’ in Sekurit for more speed

What abscate says on the silicon spray. Cleaning the sliders as you mention is a good idea. Depending where you live, the atmospheric crap in the air can build up on the runners and cause the windows to run slow.
Also check the rear slider has not some loose.
Finally check the green sliders have not jammed through wear. They need to be replaced at least once in the cars life.
Neil.

Thanks both!
So
(1) clean the rubber slider trim pieces that grip each face of the moving glass
(2) check the green slider plastic pieces in the tray along the bottom edge of the window
(3) but Neil what do you mean by rear slider is this a third piece/location? Maybe the screw accessible from the door near the latch?

Yes, some call it the rear window guide. They can break off. The V/S70 versions have a rivet, where the 850's have a screw. Both can look fine but the bracket on the back of the guide rusts and breaks of with age. Sometimes you can tell if you slam the door closed or smack it hard with your hand near it and you hear a clunk.
2) above - again grease the sliders, but although a faff to get off, it is worth removing to check they have not seized or worn flats on them so they don't turn.
Good Luck!
Neil.
