Just finished the bulb/LED replacement in my "pre-owned" SC-810. I followed the link provided by members in this thread to order the 5V T1 bulbs from Digikey. All 7 bulbs were soldered on to their sockets and then sockets were soldered onto PCB. I desoldered all 7 bulbs and tested. 3 out of 7 were burnt out. Also, LCD display backlight was gone too; no LCD display at night. LCD module was part of the front panel control PCB so that made the life easier. However, the LCD backlight was hidden inside the LCD white plastic enclosure. There was another aluminum frame on top of this white plastic enclosure. The only way to get to the LCD backlight was to de-solder LCD display (24 pins). After that, I could see the burnt out LCD backlight - a mini orange LED. I replaced the 3 burnt bulbs with T1 5V bulbs and mini orange LED with a standard green LED. Standard green LED fitted under the plastic white enclosure without any issue.
Now, I have all the bulbs + LCD backlight working. Thanks for all the help in this forum.
BTW, I also replaced 2 burnt bulbs (12V, T1) in my SC-710. One of the two LCD backlight bulb (not LED in SC-710) was burnt too. Replacement of LCD backlight bulb required the removal of top and bottom radio covers and then the cassette module to access the 2 backlight bulbs. LCD module in SC-710 was soldered to main PCB not front panel PCB. More work is needed !
