Pentofrost NF with Volvo Coolant?

Post by iamhives »

Can Pentofrost NF coolant be mixed with Genuine Volvo coolant (Volvo part #31439821). I believe so but just wanted to check.

It comes up as compatible with the Volvo coolant. Whenever I get a "new" used Volvo, I flush out the old coolant with distilled water and finally add Volvo coolant, as all three of my Volvo's have the same coolant.
Being the idiot I am, when my car was in the shop and had to get the coolant replaced after a repair, it would always come back with a lighter shade of green coolant compared to the Volvo coolant. Yup, I would change it out so the cars had the same color coolant.
After the last repair and coolant replacement, I finally left it alone and just live with the fact, that the coolant color is lighter.
I'm also the guy at the Wal-Mart oil section, who stares at the selection for 10 minutes before buying something.

I'm trying to get my multiple cars onto the same coolant also. I have 2 that our on flavors of HOAT and one that is on OAT (that I just bought). I have Volvo coolant, Zerex G05 and well as BMW coolant which I believe are all good and compatible and HOAT. Based on my research I think all of these are compatible I'm just trying to use up these miscellaneous gallons of coolant I have. I plan on flushing the new car which seems to have OAT and then consolidate into all HOAT, probably Zerex G05 since it seems to be most easily available where I am
