Engine bolt identification

Post by TisMe »

I feel like there's an awkwardly simplistic answer to this question, but I've been searching for an hour and magically coming up short on useful diagrams/text documents. Feels time to bug you guys.

I'd like to identify, specifically, the camshaft position sensor bolt. Stamped with "ESKA 8.8", yet this seems irrelevant to its documentation. Also seems different from any other bolts I've pulled from the block, so can't find any other visual references.

I figure there's a nice diagram with PNs tucked somewhere :D if I only knew where to gander.

You are a magician, thank you very much for the knowledge!

My alternative strategy was to hit the salvage yard, but the only local-ish establishment is closed on Sundays. An impatient person such as myself could possibly lose sleep if the mystery prevailed

Volvo parts web store is the go to place for exploded diagrams and part numbers.

Skandix.de is an excellent site fir actual sizes of bolts, diameter and length. This is great for identifying “ leftovers”
