I've been gathering a ton of interior parts and pieces for my upcoming dash pull to fix my ECC system in my 850.

Before this I had a bunch of work done to fix the following.

Tranny
Timing Belt
PCV System
Head gasket
numerous oil leaks
wiper arm repair
hood latch
changed out wiper nozzles for s70
Speakers
ABS module
Cluster
Truck struts
various lights
960 antenna switch mod.
Steering Rack
Brakes
Tires
New Shocks and coils front and back
ECCs (numerous as I troubleshoot heating issues)
R amp and Yatour Bluetooth
R computers
LED headlights

Need to fix the ECC and the heated seats next. The ECC will be the biggest job to finish next.

It was P80 day at the junkyard today. Along with these wagons was an S70 and the wagon I was picking parts from. The owner was scrapping the one I used, so maybe he decided to scrap these others too.

Are rails a thing we should take from junkyards?

The rails on the left blue V70 looked like they were from a P2 XC70 with that rough texture. Geronimo the 2000 V70 also has these seemingly P2 rails. The rails on the right wagon were smooth P80 rails but crushed.

Really easy with a die grinder (aka big boys Dremel). Just carefully cut the collar on two sides and pried it off.
Getting the rest of the hose off was surprisingly hard. Razor knife and wire wheel helped. Less than an hour overall.

98 NA -- Fixed headlight fuses and their associated terminals - the magic of a manicure set. Both headlights now working, both high beams now working. Ordered a new-ish fuse box top from fleabay(TM) as the existing one was dead (latch went.)

Car was parked for a few months, e-brake wouldn't let it roll in reverse so I had to move her forward a bit to break the bite. That worked. Now getting a weird thump from rear right, can't tell if it's bearing, seems to be once per revolution, may just need to clean the drums/discs up. Next up, license plate bulbs. Then hopefully inspection and a nice warm winter.

She fired up without issue, first try, no delay.
Wisdom requires knowledge as a prerequisite, but knowledge can be developed due to a lack of wisdom.
In order to learn how to fix something, you must first learn how to break it.

Might be a brake pad deposit on the rotor. Consider using the Flex-Hone For Rotors to remove the deposit. You can use it with a hand drill but it requires access to a machine shop lathe to really do it right. Completely removed the minuscule deposit on my rotors which caused terrible thudding while breaking. Great purchase since that may happen again.

For license plate bulbs, if the sockets are ruined, the Skandix replacement sockets worked great for me. I soldered them in, covering the joints with heat shrink tubing. Removed other parts of corroded wire while in there.
