Anyone remember TRW?

I do, but I don't know why. The company was acquired in 2002 after 101 years in business, and its various subsidiaries were sold, including their automotive parts department.

On our 1997 Volvo 850, steering rack and LCA were TRW as OE.

Deeply tied into space race, arms race, and lots of stuff my Dad worked on. I think this was the contractor that used to come in and ask for him by name “ because he is the only one of you who won’t blow smoke up our........tailgates”

An engineer from TRW said "This spacecraft is guaranteed for two years of interplanetary flight. If any component fails within that warranty period, just return the spacecraft to our shop and we will repair it free of charge."[13]

How many of you are aware Bendix, the inventor of the starter drive. Has been eaten and is now just a Honeywell brand.

Curly fries...?

Seems like I've seen TRW logo not that long ago. Suspension bits, ball joints, tie rod ends.

I had TRW flat top pistons installed during rebuild of my 4.0 Jeep Cherokee. That was in 2010.
Still working fine as far as I can tell.
Try to learn life's bad lessons vicariously through others.

Growing up in Michigan in the Metro Detroit area i used to see TRW offices and a factory. The factory is still there but with a new name on it.
And Bendix lol, my mom worked there in the 70's lol
