codes 097 & 021

Post by ShaunKaz1 »

Hi All

I have a Volvo S60 and have just replaced the cylinder head due to cambelt failure.. The problem Im having is I have the "Engine Service Required" when I try to reset with trip buttton it gives the codes 097 & 021.. Ive done some reading up and this usualy means oil level.. I've checked the oil level and this is sitting at 72% on vida or 1 bar off full on dash.. Im at a loss with this .. Also the car seems to be in limp mode as there is no acceleration.. when I reset using vida the car is fine no codes and accelerates away no problem.. but after a couple of miles it re-appeares along with the limp mode..
Any suggestions why this is happening..

When you connect VIDA and go to Diagnostics, can you read any fault codes?
Also, which engine do you have in the S60, the 5-cyl or the 6-cyl.?
Thanks
Example of Precision: Measure with a Micrometer, mark it with Chalk, and then cut it with an Axe.
Disclaimer: We (very) seldom do that
