Transmission Mount Torque Specs

Hello,

I installed a new trans torque mount with the torque specs of 65nm and 60degrees of angle listed in the manual on the 18mm nuts to the subframe cross member.

It felt excessive while doing it like I really had to bend that bar and it looks quite a bit different in terms of exposed threads than the original on the car?
What do you think does it look ok? Or should I loosen and just snug down.

Not too critical a torque spec.

The motor puts out at most 300 ft lbs of torque and it has 5 mount points on it , so there aren’t huge forces on that mount

I guess I'm wondering why it had such a fairly high torque value and and angle value on those nuts in the manual, on the 18mm on the subframe? Did I over tighten with 60nm and 69degress? As I said a lot more exposed threads than the original mount.

My Haynes manual has the following:

Rear x 2 bolts to transmission - 35Nm (26 ft/lb) + 40 degrees

The 2 bolts on the mount itself - 35Nm (26 ft/lb) + 90 degrees

The front 2 bolts to the frame - 65Nm (48 ft/lb) + 60 degrees

Same here.
That's what they're torqued to now.
It just seemed to really need the wrench to be bent pretty hard in comparison to what came off
Maybe at some point someone before we bought the car took that mount off and just zipped it on without angle
or much torque.

Good news it's done now as are the front and rear mounts!

Often 'mechanics' just wrench on stuff until it seems tight. These need to be reasonably tight as you have the whole engine torquing backward each time you press the gas peddle. Don't want those bolts to come loose!
